So the situation was that Congress had to pass a temporary extension funding bill by the end of the day or there would be a partial government shutdown. THE BILL proposed was a horrible one with a stupid level of spending and stupid allocations. Drafted by the GOP with no DEM input. And even though the GOP has a numerical majority in both chambers, by the rules on funding bills--- in the SENATE, 60 votes are needed for passage. The BILL they had on the table, proposes spending TWO TRILLION with a T.... 2 trillion dollars more than the government takes in --in revenue for the 6-month duration of the temporary funding. There are many horrible things about the construction of the bill, but it should have been voted down for the 2 trillion overspending alone. Yet lo and behold, somehow in corrupt DC, the hidden powers that be got 10 Democrats to go along with the bill and have it pass. Which was INSAAAAAAANE. Because these temporary government partial shutdowns are not a big deal. We've been through them before. They don't last long. It's not the end of the world. But to overspend 2 TRILLION BUCKS is a very big deal. So clearly the government is broken. BROOOOOOKEN. But wait, that's not all of it. I myself only know about the 2 trillion of overspending in the bill because of hearing an interview clip with Senator Rand Paul yesterday. He mentioned it, the 2 trillion. He mentioned the most significant sin of a totally crazy sinful bill. Which was clearly the 2 trillion in overspending. Now here's the kicker on this political nightmare that transpired Friday with the bill being passed. IN ALL the press media coverage of the funding bill drama, both before it passed and after it passed, IN ALL the coverage in the media, all the talk about this bill... GUESS how many reports I saw wherein they mentioned the fact of 2 trillion overspending. In other words, the key fact of the scandal. LOL... Anyway, I was intrigued by this TAYLOR SHERIDAN stuff. He's like a big thing now. 3 successful TV series. Yellowstone, Tulsa King, Landman. I've never watched a whole episode of any of them, but I have seen YouTube scene clips of each.

Part of the basic running story is that the key lead bad guy, star of the show, the role played by Sly Stallone, has a running mutualized romantic buzz with the female law enforcement agent ----who is investigating him.... HA HA HA belly laugh!-- because that is so and oft repeated and such a trite plot device. Like remember OUT OF SIGHT with JLO and Clooney?

BASICALLY, why does TULSA KING turn you off?

Why do I want to watch a trivial crime soap opera about a guy growing mass acreage of non-taxed weed --and having local clashes with other gangsters --in freaking Tulsa, Oklahoma? What do I get out of that?

So why do you think the third show, LANDMAN would bore you if you got into some episodes?

For a similar reason of the fact that LIONESS SPECIAL OPS bores me. The stories are hyperbolic and have no morals to the story episodes. Which means this action content is mere action, and not real drama for moral merit. PLUS in Lioness, it is an inverted gender-role world. The women act like alpha males, and the men are cuck attendees.

He's not? His ex-wife talks to him patronizingly. And the company's key [female] lawyer is always trying to one-up him. I mean, Billy Bob is a great actor, but why is the female lawyer given a character personality that's like a man, not a woman?

LATE EVENING CONVO

As for taste in movies, I would say suspense thriller/film noir is my top genre of enjoyment. This flick is one of the great all-time film noir thrillers. PLUS ALSO... woven into its story is a lot of revelation about how the world at large REALLY WORKS --politically, economically, and white-collar corruption-wise. Great movie. So worth watching. And like any good CLASSIC film, it is just as exciting upon rewatching. I've viewed it over the years about 5 times. Every time, equally enjoyable. Equally intriguing. Equally exciting. Equally dramatic. And the stars were at their age prime. Jeff and Rachel... DON'T go look at the wiki page; it tells too much. It is a plot spoiler. Just call up and watch the movie at the first chance. Highly recommended. And it's like multiple movies in one. It's an intriguing suspense story. It's hot romance. It's a crime story. Plus, a gorgeous nurse in the hospital instantly fell for the man on the run, even though he was an uneducated cab driver. Whether she knew early on that he had stolen a million bucks was not made clear, so the flick made it seem that-- she just took to him.

(me) Here's the kind of mood I'm in tonight, Friday night. Kind of a state of shock. Over what happened in Washington during the day. So the situation was that Congress had to pass a temporary extension funding bill by the end of the day or there would be a partial government shutdown. THE BILL proposed was a horrible one with a stupid level of spending and stupid allocations. Drafted by the GOP with no DEM input. And even though the GOP has a numerical majority in both chambers, by the rules on funding bills--- in the SENATE, 60 votes are needed for passage. The BILL they had on the table, proposes spending TWO TRILLION with a T.... 2 trillion dollars more than the government takes in --in revenue for the 6-month duration of the temporary funding. There are many horrible things about the construction of the bill, but it should have been voted down for the 2 trillion overspending alone. Yet lo and behold, somehow in corrupt DC, the hidden powers that be got 10 Democrats to go along with the bill and have it pass. Which was INSAAAAAAANE. Because these temporary government partial shutdowns are not a big deal. We've been through them before. They don't last long. It's not the end of the world. But to overspend 2 TRILLION BUCKS is a very big deal. So clearly the government is broken. BROOOOOOKEN. But wait, that's not all of it. I myself only know about the 2 trillion of overspending in the bill because of hearing an interview clip with Senator Rand Paul yesterday. He mentioned it, the 2 trillion. He mentioned the most significant sin of a totally crazy sinful bill. Which was clearly the 2 trillion in overspending. Now here's the kicker on this political nightmare that transpired Friday with the bill being passed. IN ALL the press media coverage of the funding bill drama, both before it passed and after it passed, IN ALL the coverage in the media, all the talk about this bill... GUESS how many reports I saw wherein they mentioned the fact of 2 trillion overspending. In other words, the key fact of the scandal. Guess how many reports I saw across all channels, where in the 2 trillion was mentioned by journalists...yeah, you guessed it. NONE. No one single journo remarked on the scandal's key fact.... WHY? Probably because none of them did enough homework to learn about the bottom line being 2 trillion as overspending. So politics is BROOOOOKEN, and the press is BROOOOOOOKEN. That's where this messed-up country is, right now.

(me) Did you ever see this movie? -- AGAINST ALL ODDS -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5H_QiUgEKk ... One of my fave flicks of all time. As for taste in movies, I would say suspense thriller/film noir is my top genre of enjoyment. This flick is one of the great all-time film noir thrillers. PLUS ALSO... woven into its story is a lot of revelation about how the world at large REALLY WORKS --politically, economically, and white-collar corruption-wise. Great movie. So worth watching. And like any good CLASSIC film, it is just as exciting upon rewatching. I've viewed it over the years about 5 times. Every time, equally enjoyable. Equally intriguing. Equally exciting. Equally dramatic. And the stars were at their age prime. Jeff and Rachel... DON'T go look at the wiki page; it tells too much. It is a plot spoiler. There was a private party at Skyloft, and he brought some of the excess food.

So tasty. It was funny. I was just about to make some dinner. And he suddenly walked in and said, I have a surprise for you. So anyway, a great dinner.

We were teamed up on a job to work on one particular case, where we are looking into fiscal fraud perpetrated by one trading company on one planet against another company on a different planet.

We've been working on this case for 4 weeks. Spent two weeks on planet A, then two weeks on planet B.

Showered -and began to emotionally unwind. I am on my bed, watching a movie on the telescreen when the door buzzer to my suite goes off. I get up to answer the door, and it's you.
