MY VERSION OF A HALLMARK ROMANCE MOVIE

Angel has been dating Charlie for 3 months. The romance is going extremely well. They have so much in common and get along so well. Angel is from Boston, which is where both she and he currently live. But Charlie comes from the open spaces of Utah. When she first learned that, she kidded him by saying.. When I went to the bodega in the neighborhood that stays open latest, till 9pm. I got there at 8:30 and--closed. They had closed early. Which was odd, because, you know, Friday night. You would think they would want to catch Friday evening business, people coming home, and the start of the weekend. Thus I thought, maybe a family problem or some circumstantial reason such that they had to close. BUT DANNY mentioned this... He said... a lot of places are closing early these days BECAUSE, with all the political/economic turmoil of late, walk-in business has dropped WAY DOWN. And he said, If a bodega has only seen 2 or 3 customers in the past 3 hours, they are probably frustrated and decide to close up early.

Danny thinks so. And at the four-star restaurant where he works as a cook in NYC, he said it was definitely slower than usual all week.

So the situation was that Congress had to pass a temporary extension funding bill by the end of the day or there would be a partial government shutdown. THE BILL proposed was a horrible one with a stupid level of spending and stupid allocations. Drafted by the GOP with no DEM input. And even though the GOP has a numerical majority in both chambers, by the rules on funding bills--- in the SENATE, 60 votes are needed for passage. The BILL they had on the table, proposes spending TWO TRILLION with a T.... 2 trillion dollars more than the government takes in --in revenue for the 6-month duration of the temporary funding. There are many horrible things about the construction of the bill, but it should have been voted down for the 2 trillion overspending alone. Yet lo and behold, somehow in corrupt DC, the hidden powers that be got 10 Democrats to go along with the bill and have it pass. Which was INSAAAAAAANE. Because these temporary government partial shutdowns are not a big deal. We've been through them before. They don't last long. It's not the end of the world. But to overspend 2 TRILLION BUCKS is a very big deal. So clearly the government is broken. BROOOOOOKEN. But wait, that's not all of it. I myself only know about the 2 trillion of overspending in the bill because of hearing an interview clip with Senator Rand Paul yesterday. He mentioned it, the 2 trillion. He mentioned the most significant sin of a totally crazy sinful bill. Which was clearly the 2 trillion in overspending. Now here's the kicker on this political nightmare that transpired Friday with the bill being passed. IN ALL the press media coverage of the funding bill drama, both before it passed and after it passed, IN ALL the coverage in the media, all the talk about this bill... GUESS how many reports I saw wherein they mentioned the fact of 2 trillion overspending. In other words, the key fact of the scandal. Guess how many reports I saw across all channels, where in the 2 trillion was mentioned by journalists...yeah, you guessed it. NONE. No one single journo remarked on the scandal's key fact.... WHY? Probably because none of them did enough homework to learn about the bottom line being 2 trillion as overspending. So politics is BROOOOOKEN, and the press is BROOOOOOOKEN. That's where this messed-up country is, right now.

MY VERSION OF A HALLMARK ROMANCE MOVIE

Angel has been dating Charlie for 3 months. The romance is going extremely well. They have so much in common and get along so well. But ytesteray i did nto feel like going to the bodega, so i didn't. Anway, he came in late this morning, and there was half a can fo wet food he was able to eat becuse ikt was sitting form last nite and still reaosnably fresh. He has a tactic fo oftne leaving some of hsi canned wet foot uneated after a mneal. So if he coems back alter and i;m out, he has it. He thus usually ahs me open two cans in a row for him at a sitting. Hence back to today. He finsiehs what's on the palnet, then comes form the ktiche into my rom at the doorway and looks up at me. I get up and walk into the kitche with him. Je humps up to his table perch and stares at nme. I pet him and tel him ina calm tone, I;m out fo canned food. I take the nox of dri food and pur a bit more fo the dry food fresh ouf the box. he seems to get what I;m saying becuse he eats the dray food and makes no fuss. And I say to him, that I promsie i will get hi9m some new food when i go to the store. Of coruse he doesn;t knwo the exact words beign spekn, but he knwos me, and he knows how lfie transacts butween him and me, and he knew what i meant. I KNEW, he kenw what i meant. So he finsihed his munching ond ri food and went out. It's now like maybe 1230 or 1pm. And I thin.. cool, he'll come back alter.I'll hit the store about 5pm. To my surpise theo he returns at about 315 and looks at me longing for fresh food. I;m thinking... OH he;s gonan be relaly disappointed now. But I went over and petted him and told him the truth. The BILL they had on the table, proposes spending TWO TRILLION with a T.... 2 trillion dollars more than the government takes in --in revenue for the 6-month duration of the temporary funding. There are many horrible things about the construction of the bill, but it should have been voted down for the 2 trillion overspending alone. Yet lo and behold, somehow in corrupt DC, the hidden powers that be got 10 Democrats to go along with the bill and have it pass. Which was INSAAAAAAANE. Because these temporary government partial shutdowns are not a big deal. We've been through them before. They don't last long. It's not the end of the world. But to overspend 2 TRILLION BUCKS is a very big deal. So clearly the government is broken. BROOOOOOKEN. But wait, that's not all of it.
