As you get past Broadway, moving westward, the blocks going westward become VERY LONG. Because each block you walk is further into an industrial area and warehouse zone. Then finally you get to the West Side Highway, cross it, and voila. Javits Center

THE AUTO SHOW!... It opens today and runs a handful of days. And it's funny how I got this info. I WAS thinking about the NYC INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW because it was an "event" for me and my brother as we were growing up. We were both very into cars and knew every make and every model each year, AND BECAUSE we were so into cars ---each year, my father took all 3 of us (him and us) to the auto show, which we LUVED, LUVED, LIVED. So... curious about the dates for it this year. I hit Google and found IT OPENS TODAY, this year's show does. THE ALLURE of the show has always been irreducible. You're in this huge, huge convention center with wide open space and super high ceilings, and you have all these glistening brand new cars on the floor. It's like a car dealership showroom on steroids.

Two tourist gals who were out for a fresh air and nature stroll got caught in a very sudden rain shower. Reactively, they ducked under the first cover they could find. Which happened to be the veranda of Andre's residence. He became instantly aware because his perimeter alarm sensor flashed a warning alert inside the house at his security system control panel-PERIMETER BREACHED. Sometimes a stray animal will trigger such an alert, but he looked on the CCTV monitor screen and saw it was two young women..... Immediately he went downstairs and invited them to come inside so they wouldn't catch cold. Appreciatively, they followed him up to his game room..... His game room is sparsely adorned because there's only one game he really loves to play, and that's running the balls (billiards). He's skilled with his aim-stick and accomplished in making the balls do his bidding. So he's happy to host nights of billiard parties at his house with friends. Of note, though, is that rarely are the participating friends women. So to even have two women suddenly in his den of hard balls... is a rarity....... But he's not thinking too much about that at the moment. He's considerately thinking of what will warm up the ladies so they are okay, He, in his mind, quickly rejects the idea of 'hot cup of tea'. Come on. Boring.... Hmmmm, How about maybe just a basic shoulder rub? Yeah, better... As he begins to give some salubrious caressing, it doesn't escape his notice that these are rather cute gals. And he can tell of course, at once ----they are tourists, just visiting the area. Otherwise they would have checked the daily forecast and been strolling with an umbrella.

For the record, let's also note, Andre is a constantly horny young male, always with sex and women on the mind....... Observing how scant the outfits are that these gals are sporting; he makes a quick decision to be forward.... Interestingly, they do not rebuff him. It goes over. As we leave the bench and start walking south, we discover there's a small free open-air concert going on in the park. Put on by a pretty well-known jazz-fusion group, So we stay at that site and enjoy the music for a bit... Back at your hotel, we take a dip in the hotel's indoor pool..... Go to the hotel gym and work out a bit. Then back to your room for a shower and a brief cuddle nap.

Winds that generally only come just before or during a storm But in this case, no storm, only bizarrely strong and irritating wind gusts day and night. Just watching a film. ARBITRAGE starring Richard Gere. Quite excellent drama. Suspense drama. Not perfect, Some flaws. But overall, really well done. Good script. good acting. Powerful story.

Some things would not have happened the way they did in the film. But, like I say. Overall, a top shelf-production. Quite worth viewing. Because it's not only good film entertainment, it teaches some lessons about the complexities of life. And about the hard cold realities behind the surface of life. Pressure to find a face-saving off-ramp, stop the bombing, and close down the insane Iran war before the global and domestic trade/economy markets have so much damage done to them that we'll be in a state of chaotic calamity beyond words.

Well, that's concisely stated (smile). Do you simultaneously have any indications of whether he'll move in that direction?

The only thing I can share in answer to that question is... Stephanie Ruhle, the anchor/correspondent at the MSNBC (aka msnow) network, has a very valuable array of contacts in the financial industry (due to many years as a financial journalist at another network), AND SHE SAYS they are all telling her on the phone they expect him to do as advised. But whether that happens or not -and, if so, how soon.... is a toss-up guess. Trump is a bull in a china shop these days and certainly anything but rational in his thoughts, expressions, and actions.

In the past several days, have you at any moment wished you had a time machine and could send yourself out of these moments to ANOTHER TIME, or even another place and time?

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL, yes... Well actually, I had a flash of that just earlier this evening; I recalled a fun and pleasant moment from a number of years ago --and wished I were back there then.

Tell me about the moment, and when and where was it.

I'd say it was probably maybe like 9 years ago. And it was in Manhattan, NYC. I was at a restaurant/tavern (a very large one on the upper east side). At a party on the lower level (the entire lower level, basement level, of the venue was a huge private party room with pool tables. Separate wet bar. Ping pong table, Tables to sit and eat and talk at...PLUS a great sound system, huge speakers, pumping in music from the DJ upstairs)...I'd been to the place many times and was friendly with the owner, Bob, a very nice fellow. I was there with a large party group for somebody's birthday. And the rental of the room included an open bar and an all-you-can-eat hot and cold food table.

You love food, so that right there was a thrill, eh?

(chuckle) Right? And this place (since sold out and reconverted) always did a great job with those party food tables, but they had outdone themselves this particular night. Because at the food table were buffalo chicken wings done to perfection with the most awesome homemade sauce. It was DEEEE-licious. The group of people were great. Everybody in a fun mood. I was drinking 7 and 7's (not a usual drink for me, but it went great with the food). They also had barbecued spare ribs, homemade coleslaw, and delmonico potatoes. huge bowls of Caesar salads... cold cuts and cheese... Melon ball punch....... I just remember being in a great mood and having a rad good time.

(smile) Well, you hold that memory in mind a little longer, Darling, because it's a pretty different moment than recent days.
