IMAGINE THIS.... It's the Old West. You live in a town that's been rampant with violent crime. For four years you had a town sheriff who was weak and just seemed passive to the crime problem. Then a handful of months ago there was a town election, and a tough guy candidate who promised to clean up the crime problem was elected. He got busy right away, and the crime problem quickly began to decrease. But some townspeople went to the local newspaper to report another problem. It's been discovered that this new sheriff, who's effective on general crime, is simultaneously a sociopathic-compulsive kleptomaniac, and at night, on his own time, he slinks about wearing a mask and robbing homes and farms. Obviously this is very concerning information. And those gathered for discussion at the newspaper... fear that if such were told to the general population, most would not believe it. Because they do not want to hear it. The general crime problem is being cleaned up during the day, and they are happy about that. To hear this ironic tale of a separate crime problem in the dark of night is likely going to be too schitzo and too much for them to process..... So, what now?
