Reindustrializing the USA, to whatever extent it COULD be done, is a 10-15 year proposition. But it also must be noted that MOST of the lost manufacturing cannot be restored due to automation AND the reality that moving manufacturing BACK from lower overhead countries would be VERY EXPENSIVE. What's the incentive to do that if you're a big corporation? The cost to manufacture things BACK in the USA would be so high consumer prices will head out of the ballpark.
